Lucille Ball

Lucille is our newest addition. She is a 4 month old Bichon Frise. She is quite modest, however. Although we originally named her Lucy, she responds better to Lucille, as in Lucille Ball, because she is such a character. Around 9 p.m. every night she just goes ballistic. Running around, growling, barking, and chewing and tossing her toys. The only time you can keep her still is when she is on her back and you rub her little pink tummy.

It is so much fun to watch her antics. Unfortunately, Lucille wants to play with Lacey, the 12 year old Bichon, and it is driving Lacey mad. She bites and pulls on Lacey's ears, tail and legs and jumps on her back. You can almost see Lacey smile when we get onto Lucille for this behavior. It is slowly getting better.

Cute video! How do you stay sane with all that yapping?

Her "incessant" yapping is controlled the Cesar Millan way. It works, but I have to do it at least 3 times before she stops. The other yaps are because she wants something. She has caught on that I will follow her when she wants something--go outside, wants in the room that has a closed door, hungry, etc. Nana

P.S. Yapping during Lucille Ball's Bischon Blitz is a different matter. As soon as her blitz is over, the yapping is over too. She is so funny. She did a different blitz this morning. Had to keep Lacey in Bubba's chair so that she wouldn't be the main target of the blitz.
